question about qx.Website

rsantiagopaz
Hi (sorry the english!)

I use a HTMLtable within a IFrame for some large listing of things, for printing.
I want try using this widget http://demo.qooxdoo.org/4.1/website-api/#Table , instead the HTMLtable. For printing too.

Now I can run de qx.Website basic skeleton example application within the IFrame, but I cant understand how using the Table. I read the manual, documentation, some post here, but still cant understand.
Is there any basic example, how create and fill the table.

is my guess fine or wrong, I can use qx.Website.table instead HTMLtable for some large printing¿

thanks

Be careful using that widget as it is marked as experimental so most likely to change and not production ready. Use it at your own risk. :)

Just take a look at the following code pen sample:
http://codepen.io/anon/pen/VYRdVK

I also openend a bug report to add a sample to the website API viewer: http://bugzilla.qooxdoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9049

That should work but I don’t see much of an advantage as the main reason for the table widget would be user interaction.

yes, thank you very much Martin.

"That should work but I don’t see much of an advantage as the main reason for the table widget would be user interaction."

You are right, basically is first time general curiosity about qx.Website, but curiosity about sort/filter capabilities before printing too.

2 more question please:
I can fill this table with arrays/json (and get them with io methods) similar to other desktop tables/widgets, or only html strings (.appendContent (tableData))?

the model in .table(model), .setModel(model) is for the table fill data? You can tell me something about this model array structure/type data

thanks

Sounds reasonable. :)

Sure, I updated the codepen sample to showcase that as well:
